Configuring expense allocations
From the Expense Allocation tab of the Profitability Configuration page in RPPS, you can create new expense groups and assign rates for expenses and future pricing transactions.
To create a new expense group:
-
Click + Add New Expense Group.
-
In the Product Expense Group column, enter the name for the new expense group into the empty text box.
-
In the Product Expense Rates column, enter desired values into any of the sub-columns.
-
In theFuture Pricing Transaction Rates column, enter desired values into any of the sub-columns listed in the following table.
Column Sub-column Fields Monthly Expense Allocations Origination - For Pricing Only
- Expense Amount
Closing - For Pricing Only
- Expense Amount
Maintenance (Fixed) - For Pricing Only
- Expense Amount
Maintenance (Variable) - For Pricing Only
- Expense Rate
- Fee-Based Allocation Basis
Pricing Fees and Expense N/A - Allow Pricing Fee Entry
- Standard Pricing Expense Rate
There is a For Pricing Only column in each of the Monthly Expense Allocations sections: Origination, Closing, Maintenance (Fixed), and Maintenance (Variable). This allows you to import one or more expense types and have Axiom RPPS calculate the others.
If you set the Yes/No toggle in the For Pricing Only column to Yes, the system uses only the amount you enter in the corresponding Rates column for pricing and future profitability calculations.
-
The system will not allocate the amount to current profitability.
-
You need to import origination costs for expense groups where you have indicated Yes.
TIP: Set the toggle in the For Pricing Only column to Yes when you import expenses for the cost section and are only using the amount in the associated Rates column for pricing.
For deposits only, in the Allow Pricing Fee Entry column, click the Yes/No toggle to enable or disable the user's ability to enter a fee rate for pricing. In the Standard Pricing Expense Rate column, enter an expense rate.
